it's my birthday...

SO. I turn 22 on the 16th... I can't believe how quickly this year has gone. This time last year I was heavily pregnant and fine tuning my dissertation ready for it to be handed in on my birthday. Mental.
I've just compiled a few of my absolute favourite things recently, all of which I would love love love for my birthday (NOTE: I've already gotten my present... it's a Wireless ticket haha).
This tea dress. It teases me every time I step into Topshop. Hanging right in the front with it's cute print. The minx. But in all seriousness this dress is beautiful. The colour is perfect for the summer and I love the cut of neckline. All in all, it is just so flattering.
I have these shoes open on a tab on my laptop. How lame. But I just LOVE them. They're not available in my local Topshop, so I'm going to hunt them down in London as soon as possible! I'm not really a fan of the standard gladiator sandal because they really don't look good on me, but as these cover a few toes, which I feel loads more comfortable with, I think they'd look okay! They're cream too, so would go with most things! I may or may not be eyeing up the black pair too... Ahem. 
These finger top rings are so popular at the moment, and of course, I have given into the hype. Having seen them on the likes of babes such as Kate and Anna, they looked super cute and I am definitely going to snap them up soon!
I love reading. Or should I say used to. For some reason, during my time at University I just completely stopped, but I am so desperate to start again, and think a kindle is just what I need to read as much as possible, anywhere, anytime. Plus it's lightweight which is always a positive.
I'm not usually a big satchel lover, but I am aware of how popular the Cambridge Satchel Company is. When I spotted this little number on the ASOS website, I couldn't get it out of my head. I think it's the colour- it's gorgeous and would look be perfect for little outings on the weekend! It's pricey, but I think the quality totally justifies it.
All my picks are so perfect for summer I think. I'm not going to get any of them out of my head! *starts saving every penny ever* Have you seen any fab bits you're dying to get for the summer?

FINALLY. A post. As if. But yeah, I'm back! My internship at Company magazine finished last Friday (wah.), and I will admit I am missing it loads! Although it's fab to spend loads of time with Isla again, and with the sun shining it's even better!

Yesterday, I wore this little dress from Lashes of London. I love their website and so many of their pieces are right up my street. When I spotted this little number, I fell in love instantly. I'm not a big lover of neon, although it is a big trend this season, but the little hints on this dress are just the right amount! The size 8 is a little bit baggy though, so I popped a belt around my waist, but I think that's just the style of the dress so it's not a big problem.

I have a bit of an obsession with these linked necklaces too... I may or may not have it in rose gold too (SORRYNOTSORRY), it's just so versatile, I had to have it! To make the outfit a bit of casual, I wore my white Vans, but I have a pair of brown woven ballet pumps from Topshop that would look equally cute!

I decided to make a change and took a few photos in the actual garden this time! Do you like it? I think I prefer it actually, and with the sun FINALLY making an appearance I'm definitely going to be doing it here a lot more often.  It was such a beaut day yesterday, Isla and I ran a few errands (and she sat in her big girl car seat you guys!), and I took her for a stroll in her pushchair. We have a Quinny and I've decided to turn the seat around now to satisfy her curiosity- she wants to see everything! It's her birthday in two months (HOW UGH), so I'm slowly but surely gathering her presents- I'm so excited!

Hottest day of the year yesterday meant attempting bare legs (I can't believe I'm that person...), but it soon got windy. Despite that I managed to snap some photos that include this blouse I am obsessed with at the moment. It's made of super soft material and fits perfectly. Of course because of the colour, it goes with most bottoms, but can be worn in or out (I tend to go for out with my Leighs). It's super laid back... if a blouse could ever be called that!?  But year, it's a piece I know I'll be returning to time and again during the summer because it's just so easy to style. I popped this beautiful necklace on underneath the collar just to jazz things up a bit, y'know. My bag, from the same website, is a little gem. I LOVE the scalloped detail, and the fact it has two zipped compartments. Since living in London, I've become super paranoid about pick-pockets, so this bag is perfect. I usually use it when I'm running errands or spending the day with Isla and my friends- the size is just right. Finally... my SHOES. I instagrammed a photo of them, but I cant stress how cute they are. I've been told they're Topshop dupes so get your bums to Primark! I'm starting week 3 interning at Company and I'm loving it. Early mornings don't bother me when I'm enjoying where I'm going/tea is heavily featured! I hope you all have a fab Monday. :)
OH; sorry it's all creased. I sat down ONCE, jeez.

adventures: the tunnel

So yesterday, Natalie and I took Isla to a local soft play centre. Unfortunately, I was left super disappointed despite some high points! The area was 'under 4's' but a lot of the children in there were much older than Isla, and although she did make a few friends her own age, there were terribly hyperactive toddlers running around, kicking things and jumping on things around the babies; with one little girl being so destructive, she ripped a walker away from Isla and another boy (who was definitely over 4), accidentally kicking her whilst she sat in the ball pit. It's safe to say I wasn't happy and you can just imagine how horrified I was, so we decided to stay in an area where hardly anyone was, which was a shame because Isla loves other children. 
To make up for our slightly failed day out, we got a little tunnel for Isla to play with at home! And I can definitely confirm SHE LOVES IT, you can see it on her little face haha. She'll go in and out of it for a good 5 minutes completely beaming from ear to ear, its the cutest thing. I also decided to get her a little pair of pink sandals from Mothercare and they look fab on her! :) 
For next Saturday, I was thinking about getting lots of coloured paper and introducing her to painting. I think she'll really enjoy it, so I'm already excited! I'm so tired now though, I think I'm in dire need of a holiday nap. How was your weekend? Did you get up to much?
